The fuel tank locking cap for a vehicle has one end of the filler connector (5) provided with a slider (6) which closes the filler tube and slides along a pair of guide rails (7, 8) when the fuel pump nozzle is inserted. The guide rails are secured to a niche wall (1a) in the side of the vehicle and the return action of the slider is controlled by a compression spring (10). ADVANTAGE - System which avoids the filler cap of a vehicle being lost during a refuelling operation.
