The height adjustment system includes a work table which has four telescopic legs (2) that can be simultaneously extended or retracted to adjust the height of the table surface (100). The legs have a tubular structure with radial horizontal tubes (3) at the leg tops, connecting with a central hub (1). Within the hub is a ring gear that is engaged by bevel gears coupled to shafts located within the radial tubes. The ends of the shafts connect with toothed belt transmissions within each leg. The ring gear can be rotated either by an electric motor (4) or by a manual (5) crank handle. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. computer work stations. Provides continuous height adjustment facility.
