The piston is hollow and in a floor has a filter disc in front of or behind which is a check valve for sepn. of blood fractions, i.e. corpuscles/serum. This check valve comprises a disc-shaped, elastically deformable membrane with a central valve opening and a support ring inserted in the piston housing for the membrane. The membrane and the support ring are formed as a one-part membrane ring. The membrane is blunt conical in shape. The sidewalls extending over the floor of the piston housing in an axial direction have sealing lips. The filter disc in the piston housing is held by a holder ring with an axial, central hole. The holder ring fits between the side walls of the piston housing and inwardly between the insides of the support ring. USE/ADVANTAGE - For clinical and pathological use, to separate blood fractions using a simple appts. which requires no auxiliary means.
