The invention concerns a machine for the precision machining of toothed workpieces (1), in particular gearwheels, the machine having a driven tool (2) with honing stones (9) which exert an abrading action on the flanks of the teeth of the workpiece. To optimize the operation of the machine, the invention proposes that the honing-stone carrier is designed to be capable of flexing, at right angles to the direction in which it is driven, at least in the zone (A) between adjacent honing stones, the honing-stone carrier preferably being designed as a continuous-loop chain.
