Vehicle road speed measuring device - has speed sensor and evaluation circuit which compares sampled speed with expected speed tolerance range

The speed sensor detects the vehicle's road speed w.r.t. the road along which the vehicle is moving and produces a corresp. output signal. A speed determination device accepts successive values of the speed signal. When the sampled speed falls within a tolerance range corresp. to the estimated speed it is accepted as the true speed. When the speed is not within the expected range the current true speed is defined by correcting the last sampled speed. USE/ADVANTAGE - E.g. for determining accelerations. Increased accuracy.
