POSITIONING DEVICE FOR HEADS

The head positioning device in the slitter/scorer of a corrugating machine has a number of heads (2) slidably mounted on a shaft (1) and a shifter (15) capable of moving parallel to the shaft (1). Pushers (16) mounted on a rotatable shaft (17) driven by a motor (13) via rack and pinion and belt system move selected sliding heads (2) along the shaft in groups of two or more by pushing them with pegs (16a). The forward movement of the foremost head is restricted to prevent inertial movement of the other heads.
