PURPOSE:To obtain a compd. which is chemically stable, releases a photographic useful group at a desirable speed, improves the diffusibility of the released photographic useful group and can control effectively the acting range thereof by incorporating the compd. which desorbs the group expressed by formula ( I ) or formula (II) by the reaction with a color developing agent oxidant into the titled material. CONSTITUTION:The titled material contains the compd. which desorbs the group expressed by formula ( I ) or (II) by reaction with the color developing agent oxidant. The group expressed by PUG in the general formula ( I ) or (II) is exemplified more specifically by a development retainer, development accelerator, fogging agent, dye, desilvering accelerator, desilvering retainer, silver halide solvent, competing compd. or coupler, etc. and the effect when the PUG is the development retainer in formula ( I ) or (II) is remarkable and preferable. The development retainer is exemplified by a heterocyclic thio group (for example, tetrazolylthio group, etc. or benzoxazolylthio group) or triazolyl group (benzotriazolyl group, etc.). |
