<p>PURPOSE:To shorten a clearing processing, and exactly register merchandise data by providing reading and transmitting means at a cart, and providing a receiving means, customer's file preparing means, and clearing means at a transaction processor. CONSTITUTION:The code of the merchandise purchased by a customer is read by a scanner 25 being the reading means provided at a cart 10, and transmitted to the transaction processor with the identification code of the cart 10 by a transmitter 23. In a centralized control unit 11, the merchandise code and the identification code are read by a receiver 54, and the customer's file is prepared by a CPU 11 corresponding to the content. Then, at the time of the clearing processing, a transaction terminal equipment 7 retrieves the customer's file from the identification code of the cart 10, and operates the clearing processing according to the content of the pertinent file. Therefore, the merchandise code is read by each customer at the cart 10 so that the reading operation of the merchandise code can be prevented from being centralized at a clearing position 13.</p> |
