<p>PURPOSE:To provide a linear resistor having high withstand voltage, more excellent linearity in current/voltage characteristics than those of ZnO series and further uniform resistance value. CONSTITUTION:A bulk type linear resistor formed of a sintered material made of 0.1-39vol.% of metal boride 60-94vol.% of nonreducing glass and 0.01-10vol.% of carbon black and of electrodes of opposed surfaces of the material and used for a closing resistor and a neutral point-grounded resistor of a gas breaker. Accordingly, since its current/voltage characteristics are more excellent than those of ZnO and its high voltage pulse resistance is more excellent than those of conventional ZnO series and carbon series, a novel resistor having excellent current/voltage characteristics and withstand voltage as well as a small irregularity in resistance value is provided. Further, this resistor is applied to provide a closing resistor and a neutral point grounding resistor for a small- sized gas breaker.</p> |
