CONDUCTIVE MAGNETIC CARRIER FOR DEVELOPER, DEVELOPER, AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To provide a high conductivity and magnetic force to a carrier, to enable development with an insulating toner by simultaneous rear exposure/ development process, and to transfer the image to normal paper. CONSTITUTION:Conductive find particles 17 are firmly fixed to the surface of a mother particle 13 in which magnetic material 15 is dispersed in a binder resin so that the surface conductive layer is formed. The obtd. conductive magnetic carrier is mixed with an insulating toner to obtain a two-component developer. A developer reservoir is formed with this developer between a developer sleeve and a photosensitive body. Charges are injected to the photosensitive body through a magnetic brush comprising the conductive magnetic carrier to electrify the photosensitive body and to form a latent image by rear exposure. Then the latent image is developed to form a toner image comprising an insulating toner, which is then electrostatically transferred to normal paper.
