CONSTITUTION: The method for reading out the radiation images stored in an assembled optical excitation type phosphor panel 1 has a stage for exciting the phosphors, which exist within the plural cells lined up in the arrays parallel with an inert supporting body, by means 6 for simultaneously, uniformly and optically exciting all the cells belonging to the same arrays along the scanning line L and allowing the respective cells of the arrays to emit light according to the energy accumulated therein and a stage for condensing the emitted light by a condenser means 8, converting the light to electric signals and simultaneously and separately processing the light emitted by the respective cells along the scanning line.
