CONSTITUTION: This method and apparatus provide a general user interface 14 between a graphical user interface program 11 and the application program 15. The method consists of a steps for defining and providing graphical visual elements in order to display these elements on a screen. The user inputs 50, 51, 52 generated from a data input device are waited to be received from the graphical user interface program according to the graphical visual elements.
