PURPOSE:To automatically select an effective sound field to match to a music signal by obtaining the data of the average level, the frequency characteristic and the tempo of a signal from a music signal which becomes a sound source and collating them to the criterion stipulated beforehand by a statistical method. CONSTITUTION:This controller is equipped with an average level arithmetic part 20, a frequency characteristic detecting part 21, a frequency characteristic deciding part 22 to compare the frequency characteristic obtained here to the pattern data of the frequency characteristic stored beforehand and decide to which pattern they are matched, a tempo detecting part 27, etc. By collating the average level data, frequency deciding data and tempo data obtained from each part to the criterion stipulated beforehand by a statistical method at a sound field selecting part 28, an effective sound field is selected. A sound characteristic parameter and a frequency characteristic parameter corresponding to the sound field are set to a sound field characteristic adding part 16 and a frequency characteristic control part 15 by a reproduction characteristic data setting part 18 and the music signal to add the sound field effect is reproduced. |
