PURPOSE:To provide an emphasized expression characteristic to a conversational speech and to synthesize the conversational speech which is extremely natural and easy to listen to by providing a rhythm control parameter, specially, a parameter regarding time structure. CONSTITUTION:An input text is decomposed by a Japanese analysis part 1 into respective words to determine their parts of speech and pronunciation and a speech language processing part 2 determines the accent types of the respective words or phrases to obtain syllable information, accent information, and prominence information. A control parameter generation part 3 determines accent, intonation, phoneme continuance time, a sound source power correction value according to a rule and generates a pitch pattern and a phoneme parameter time series. A beat continuance increment where variance of those control parameters is defined as an increment based upon the beat continuance except the end of a sentence where prominence is not added for sentence units to which the prominence is added is set to a positive value. |
