<p>PURPOSE:To move a cursor projected on a screen according to the indication of a pointer by providing the pointer itself with a mouse function. CONSTITUTION:This screen display system consists of a ball 11 which is formed in a rod shape and can freely rotate while moving on a display screen provided at the tip part, the pointer 1 equipped with a detecting means which detects the numbers of horizontal and vertical rotations of the ball 11, and an image processor equipped with a means which displays an image including the cursor on the display screen, finds the movement of the painter 1 from the numbers of rotations detected by the detecting means, and moves the cursor. Namely, the same function as a mouse is provided atop of the painter 1. When this pointer 1 is used, the tip end part is rubbed and moved on the screen and then the ball 11 rotates by this movement, so that its rotational frequency data (moving direction and movement distance) are detected. Consequently, the cursor can be moved to draw a picture.</p> |
