PURPOSE:To provide an information processor usable as an extended box when it is connected to another information processor and also usable as a stand-alone device. CONSTITUTION:Since a CPU 11 is disconnected from an internal bus 22 by a switching means 15 when used in connection with another information processor 30, the control of an I/O device 18 in the processor 10 is transferred to the other processor 30. Since the CPU 11 can refer to only data stored in a data storing means 16 in said environment, specific data to be controlled by the CPU 11 are temporarily stored in a data storing means 16 and then transferred to the CPU 11.
