PURPOSE:To control a laser oscillation and stabilize operating characteristics by a simple manufacture. CONSTITUTION:It is an object to provide a light, emitting semiconductor apparatus of edge emission type having a striped active region for performing an optical induced amplification. A rear edge 12 is formed with an inclined face at a given angle to a face direction parallel to a double hetero junction face of the active region. Also, a current non-injection region 11 is formed transversely in parallel with the double hetero junction face and vertical to an optical propagation direction. |
