PURPOSE:To provide a hard coating film capable of modifying the surfaces of plastic optical parts and enhancing the performance of the parts without deteriorating the shape accuracy of the parts. CONSTITUTION:A first layer 1 of silicon dioxide, a second layer 2 of aluminum oxide, a third layer 3 of zirconium oxide and a fourth layer 4 of silicon dioxide are successively vapor-deposited on the surface of each of plastic optical parts 5 such as plastic lenses from the surface side toward the air side to form a four-layered vapor-deposited film as a hard coating film. This film increases the surface hardness of the plastic optical parts to >=5H pencil hardness without deteriorating the shape accuracy of the parts, is not exfoliated by an exfoliation test with an adhesive cellophane tape, has high reliability and also acts as an antireflection film. |
