PURPOSE:To provide a highly reliable solar cell wherein the initial property has improved, by improving the adhesion between each layer constituting a solar cell and effectively preventing the drop of properties caused by the minute film exfoliation occurring in manufacture process or in actual use. CONSTITUTION:In a solar cell which has structure of catching a semiconductor layer 106 with a first electrode 101 and a second electrode 107, a zinc oxide layer 102, which contains carbon atoms, is arranged between, at least, either electrode of the first and second electrodes and the semiconductor layer. Moreover, the concentration of the carbon atoms inside the zinc oxide layer is fixed within the range of 5 atom % or less, or varies continuously within the range of 5 atom % or less. |
