<p>PURPOSE:To reduce spacing loss and make the wavelength of recording short, and to obtain high recording density by suppressing inner flotation between a magnetic head and a magnetic recording medium. CONSTITUTION:Dummy heads 3a and 3b which perform at least neither recording nor erasure are provided by one each on both the sides of the magnetic head 1 in a direction orthogonal to the relative travel direction to the magnetic recording medium. Here, di1, di2,... do, where di1, di2,... are the quantities of projection of those dummy heads 3a and 3b from the opposite surface 11 of a head constitution body 10, where the magnetic head 1 is formed, from the magnetic recording medium and do is the projection quantities from the opposite surface 11 to the magnetic head 1.</p> |
