PURPOSE:To reduce operator's load and to efficiently form a document by inputting data (e.g. a date) for executing date conversion from an input device so that the date can simply be inputted at the time of 'KANA' (Japanese syllabary)/'KANJI' (Chinese characters) conversion. CONSTITUTION:This date input system is provided with a 'KANA'/'KANJI' conversion control means 3 for recognizing whether data inputted from an input device 2 are date converting data or not, a dictionary reading control means 5 for reading out 'KANJI' conversion candidate data relating to the input of date conversion data from a 'KANA'/'KANJI' conversion dictionary 7, a date data reading control means 6 for reading out date data from a clock mechanism 8, an edition control means 4 for editing date conversion candidate data from the 'KANJI' conversion candidate data and the date data, and a display control means 9 for displaying the date conversion candidate data on a display device 10. The date conversion candidate data are displayed on the device 10 to select a required date. |
