PURPOSE:To exactly and efficiently execute an analysis even for an English sentence containing such a component as plural words which can be modified exist by advancing an analysis, while always executing a local modifying relation of a word and a word under a global synthetic decision. CONSTITUTION:The system is provided with a syntax analyzing part 1 for inputting a word train of an English sentence to which a morpheme analytical processing is performed, taking notice of successively from words phrases of the sentence head side and deciding its modifying relation, and determining a phrase structure and a dependent structure of the English sentence, and a completeness decision rule collection 2, a synthetic decision rule collection 3 and a semantic relation decision rule collection 4 as role bases. That is, by a completeness deciding part 10, whether words and phrases with are being taken notice of and words and phrases taken notice of immediately before are collected as one phrase or not is decided by using a completeness decision table 11. Subsequently, by a dependent relation determining part 20, whether a modifying relation exists between two words and phrases or not is decided. Based on its decision, an analytical tree is generated by an analytical tree generating part 30. |
