PURPOSE:To improve the display performance and the visual recognizability of a defect by displaying picture data including the defect on a monitor television as a still picture and displaying the picture of the defect in a prescribed position in the vertical direction on the screen of the monitor television. CONSTITUTION:When picture data of the half storage capacity of a display buffer memory 15 is stored in a picture memory 13b, picture data stored in the picture memory 13b is transferred to a buffer memory 15. This picture data transferred from the picture memory 13b includes the other half of the defect. Then, the display buffer memory 15 synthesizes picture data transferred from a picture memory 13a and that from the picture memory 13b. Since the synthesized picture forms the shape of the original defect detected with respective, halves combined, this defect is arranged in a early center of the synthesized picture. The display buffer memory 15 displays the synthesized picture on a monitor television 16 as a still picture to display the picture of the defect in he center in the vertical direction. |
