PURPOSE:To control a musical sound with the tip shape of a stick by providing a circuit which detects area of striking at a pad part, and detecting the shape of the stick from the area of striking and reflecting it on musical sound control. CONSTITUTION:The pad 1 is provided with a matrix switch 8 and an impact sensor 9; and the matrix switch 8 is connected to a striking area detecting circuit 2 and the impact sensor 9 is connected to a striking strength detecting circuit 3 and a sound generation trigger detecting circuit 4. The sound generation trigger detecting circuit 4 outputs a note-ON signal when an impact detected by the impact sensor 9 exceeds a certain value and this signal is inputted to the striking area detecting circuit 2, which outputs how many times the matrix switch 8 is turned ON as area data. The control system of a sound source 5 is so constituted as to read out waveform data with the high constitution rate of high-order harmonies when the area data is small or waveform data with the large constitution ratio of the keynote when the area data is large. |
