The invention relates to a system permitting the automatic insertion of computer floppy disks with the "51/4 " format in pockets made from paper or any other material. The proposed system is composed of an assembly of cams (2) and (3) mounted on a motorised shaft (1) controlling the movements of an assembly of suction pads (7) coupled to a vacuum pump. The suction pads (7) permit gripping of the floppy disks and of the paper pockets via the bottom. The same motorised shaft (1), by means of a chain (14) equipped with catches (10), permits the transfer of the diskette towards the pocket and the discharge of the pocket plus diskette assembly to outside the machine. The invention can be exploited by all users of "51/4 " computer diskettes. <IMAGE>
