MAGNETIC RECORDING MEDIUM

摘要

PURPOSE:To solve such a problem as inferior durability of a magnetic recording medium such as a floppy disk in environment at low temp. and low humidity and to provide a magnetic recording medium having excellent durability in environment at low temp. and low humidity. CONSTITUTION:A nonmagnetic substrate is coated with magnetic powder together with resin to form a magnetic layer and 2-ethylhexyl palmitate is incorporated into the magnetic layer of the resulting magnetic recording medium by 1-4 pts.wt. per 100 pts.wt. of the magnetic powder. The magnetic layer of the magnetic recording medium such as a floppy disk maintains satisfactory lubricity even at low temp. and low humidity and has excellent durability in environment at low temp. and low humidity.
