PURPOSE:To improve the retrieval efficiency of a card by making it possible to retrieve a data base card having an uninputted item in a document forming device having a data base function. CONSTITUTION:A data base setting information memory 6 for storing the item information or the like of an inputting data base, a card data storing memory 7 for storing inputted card data and card data to be additionally registered, a retrieval control part 8 for controlling card retrieval, a retrieving condition setting part 9, and a retrieved result storing buffer 10 are connected to a data base control part 3. The setting part 9 sets up the retrieval of an uninputted item as a retrieving condition. When the retrieval of uninputted items is specified as a retrieving condition at the time of retrieving a formed card, an uninputted retrieval setting mark is displayed on a retrieving condition item column and the retrieval control part 8 starts retrieval control based upon a retrieval execution command retrieves a certain card in an uninputted item specified to the memory 7, stores the retrieved result in the buffer 10, and also displays the stored contents on a screen as a table. |
