PURPOSE:To provide the journal recorder of the automatic transaction machine for printing an embossed part and a picture pattern part on journal paper by varying a printing color, in an imprint pattern formed on a transaction card. CONSTITUTION:In the automatic transaction machine for taking in a transaction card for specifying a customer, reading an imprint pattern formed on the surface of the card and printing it on journal paper, when a transaction to the customer is finished, this machine is provided with a reading means 2 for reading the imprint pattern on the transaction card, a pattern recognizing means 6 for discriminating and recognizing an embossed part and a picture pattern part in the read imprint pattern, and a printing means 9 for printing the imprint pattern on the journal paper by varying a printing color to the embossed part and the picture part, based on a result of recognition. |
