<p>PURPOSE:To attain the extension of the service life of a carrier, the stabilization of image quality for a long period, and the improvement of the reliability of a process by reducing stress applied to the carrier and a photosensitive body. CONSTITUTION:In this image forming device supplying a developer 71 to the side of the sensitive layer 27 of the photosensitive body 21, to form a developer puddle 73, and exposing an image from the side of the light transmissive conductive layer 25 of the photosensitive body 21, as the carrier of the developer, a conductive magnetic carrier having the formation of a conductive layer on the surface of a base grain incorporating a magnetic material grain in binder resin, in used, and when the surface roughness of the photosensitive body 21 is defined as (r), the average grain diameter of the carrier is defined as (Rc), and the average grain diameter of the magnetic material grain is defined as (Rm), (r)<=Rc, preferably, (r)<=Rm is set.</p> |
