摘要

PURPOSE:To enhance the starting characteristics of a cold cathode fluorescent lamp by introducing external light to a back light using a photo-conducting means. CONSTITUTION:On the VTR color view finder side, an external light introducing hole 7 leading to a cold cathode fluorescent lamp 4 for back light is formed in the side wall of a housing 1. This hole 7 shall have a dia. of approx. 2mm and is blocked with a clear resin in order to prevent intrusion of rain and dust. Through this hole the external light reaches the lamp 4 to cause photo- electrons to exist in the discharge space. At the time of starting, these photo- electrons become initial electrons to actuate electric discharge, which facilitates the starting.
