The invention relates to a system of pipes, comprising at least two transport pipes 4 which lie in the same plane, intersect one another and form part of different transport systems, wherein, at the location of the intersection which is formed by a four-way junction 9 which is connected to the pipes 4, one of the pipes 4 fits through the other pipe leaving a flow opening clear. The invention also relates to a four-way junction 9 which is to be used in this system of pipes, comprising at least two tubular pieces 11, 13 of corresponding diameter which include an angle, one 11 of which has a thickened section 14 at the location of the intersection. The invention also relates to a tanker vessel 1 provided with a system of pipes, having four-way junctions 9 of this nature, positioned on one side of the vessel 1. <IMAGE>
