The rivet pushed into the workpiece is either closed like a sleeve at the closing head end or is open. The hollow resilient closing head setter is pushed in up to the rivet end until the set head stop (4) presses the setting head. The closing head setter is turned and the inner pin (5) is pressed in the rivet direction. The rivet end is pressed out from the closing head setter until the pin fills up the cavity. The process is carried out by a complex rivet head setter in one working step. To remove the closing head, the head setter can be replaced by a similar part with a cutter. USE/ADVANTAGE - For rivets with open or closed head,with a facility to replace other connecting processes by a simple and rapid method.
