A hard-setting mix of resin and additives is produced for the prodn. of (partic.) GRP components, whereby the individual materials such as liquid resin, hardener, inhibitor accelerator, pigments etc. are added to a mixer in succession and there mixed before the mix obtained is processed further. The liq. resin and additives are metered out by volume into the completely sealed mixer; a vacuum is applied to the mixer and a valve beneath the mix is briefly opened. ADVANTAGE - The method mixes very efficiently and hence requires little time. It prevents the ingress of any air or dirt into the liq. resin mixt. obtd.. It minimises undesirable emissions and it prevents explosion
