<p>A multi-surface wrench (10) includes a handle assembly (12) having a biasing spring (26) disposed therein and a wrench head assembly (30) secured to the handle assembly (12). The wrench head assembly (30) includes a body member (40) pivotally attached to the handle assembly (12) by a first pivot pin (32) and a hook member (60) pivotally attached to the handle assembly (12) by a second pivot pin (34). The biasing spring (26) coacts with the hook member (60) for automatic self-adjustment of the wrench head assembly (30) to capture nuts of differing sizes. A turning force applied to the handle assembly (12) causes coaction of the body and hook members (40, 60) to exert locking forces against the captured nut and to create a self-tightening action between the wrench head assembly (30) and the captured nut.</p> |
