A transport system comprises a transport container with raised edges and support feet. Each container can be stacked both directly onto another container or can be stacked at a distance above another container by means of removable support means. These support means are designed as support yokes which each comprise a pair of support legs which are connected by means of at least one crossbar, which support yokes interact, in a removable manner, with two opposite edges of in each case a lower container and a higher container located above it.
