<p>A lighting device for image readout devices, whose quantity of light is large independent of its ambient temperature and which has a compact and simple structure. In the lighting device, within a sealed vacuum cavity (20), provided are cathodes (1) for emitting electrons, an anode (3) for accelerating emitted electrons, and fluorescences (4G, 4R, 4B) for radiating light luminously by the collision of electrons. Near the cathodes (1), back electrodes (2G, 2R, 2B) for controlling electron emission regions are provided.</p> |
