Carburettor air flow rate measuring device - has main venturi tube and by=pass with electrically controlled air flow sensor

The device has a main Venturi tube(7). There is a by-pass(10), with the rate of air flow through the by-pass in a specified relation to that through the main Venturi tube(7). There is a flow sensor(2) whose electric characterstic changes with the flow of air and there is a circuit activating and controlling the air flow sensor(2). There is a heat insulating support for the sensor(2) which can be placed in the by-pass system(10). The device forms part of a carburettor for an IC engine. The fuel metering system and the throttle valves are placed downstream of this Venturi.
