PURPOSE:To prevent whitening, coloring, and gelation caused by a flame-retardant, and to obtain the titled composition having improved elongation, by adding a reaction product from a halogenated bisphenol A as a flame-retardant, etc. to a polyalkylene terephthalate. CONSTITUTION:100pts.wt. polyalkylene terephthalate is blended with 1-40pts.wt. compound shown by the formula (R1 is alkyl; R2 and R3 are methyl or H; X is Br or Cl; h and i are 0-5, h+i are integer of 0-5; j and k are 0-4, j+k are integer of 1-8; n is average polymerization degree 0-10). The compound shown by the formula is obtained by reacting a hologenated bisphenol A diglycidyl ether which is prepared from a halogenated disphenol A and epihalohydrin, etc. with a halogenated phenol, etc. in the presence of a hydroxide of alkali metal under heating and it has preferably a halogenation ratio 40-70wt%. |
