A fruit-peeling machine for oranges, lemons or other rounded fruits comprises, on a base platform, an arm of forked configuration having a laterally oriented concavity. Between the ends of the forks, shoes are provided to form a product retaining jaw actuable manually or automatically to retain the centre of the fruits at the same level, regardless of their size. The forked arm pivots about a vertical axis to move a fruit from a collection zone to an angularly offset peeling zone at which a latch is provided to fix the jaw. A pair of sets of knives, each having a semi-circumferential distribution, is mounted on apivot arm actuable manually or automatically towards or away from the fruit, each set of knives being rotated by a motor mounted on the pivoting arm of the knives.
