Device for placing a tee and securing a golf ball, comprising a handle at the bottom end, a receptacle of which is arranged so as to receive a ball. A section for receiving a tee as well as the underside of the ball is arranged displaceably with respect to the handle. This displacement is brought about in such a manner that the attachment of the tee and the ball is released by depressing a button which is located on the top side of the handle.
