Two connection groups are linked by TDM lines to duplicated central coupling fields in parallel, to which respective processors are connected through input/output ports and buffers. Information addressed to individual selectors is received and stored temporarily in decentralised control units. The selectors are switched through corresp. partial coupling fields to one or other of the TDM termination circuits in which change-over switches effect the necessary connections. These selectors are connected by internal wires in normal operation to the partial coupling field of the proper connection gp.
