The invention relates to a valve assembly, in particular for aggressive fluids and/or fluids at a relatively high temperature. It comprises a plurality of valves and a connecting strip which connects the latter and in which the connecting passages for connecting the individual valves are formed. The connecting strip, which is composed of plastic, is produced by the injection-moulding method and its likewise injection-moulded connection pieces are welded to the strip by means of ultrasound. Installed in the connecting strip upstream and downstream of each valve are metallic electrodes which are electrically connected to an evaluation circuit and the circuit of which is closed by the electrically conducting fluid, thereby making it possible to monitor the individual valves for leakage.
