Appts. to apply magnetic treatment to fluids has a housing with an inner and outer tube (1, 2) of a paramagnetic material, and pref. stainless steel with an austenitic structure. Units (3) to generate a magnetic field are between them, with deflectors (4). The fluid flows through axially, between jet-shaped hollow bodies (6) at the inlet and outlet, with flow guides (7), fixed and centered by a central rod (5). The magnet rings (3) are of permanent magnet material, pref. of lanthanum type cpds. and pref. of neodymium or samarium with a high energy density, prepd. with axial magnetising units. The deflectors (4) are of corrosion-free material with a ferrite structure. The jet-shaped hollow bodies (6) have an angle of 5-60 deg. and pref. 12-17 deg. made of a rust-free material with a ferrite structure. The flow guides (7) have a dia:pitch ratio of 1:0.5 to 1:2 and pref. 1:1.1 to 1:1.5, made with a conical angle of 3-60 deg. and pref. 12-25 deg. The flow guides (7) have drilled-out cores towards the inner side over 10-90% of the total length, and pref. 30-60%. The flow guides (7) are of rust-free material with a ferrite structure. The central rod (5) is of a non-rust material with a ferrite structure. USE/ADVANTAGE - For the treatment of water, organic and inorganic mixts. and solns. to prevent scale build-up when the liq. is heated. The appts. is easily made and fitted in place, and can be integrated with a fine filter, with only a slight drop in the water pressure as a result.
