PURPOSE:A hair rinse containing an extract from leaves of silk tree, thus eliminating the sliminess characterized by cationic surfactants on use, giving hair high luster, dryness and slippage and having high fragrant effect. CONSTITUTION:Leaves of silk tree are extracted with a solvent such as water, alcohol or dioxane, preferably with heat, and the extract is used as the major component to produce the hair rinse. The rinse is composed of 5-50% of the above extract and 0.1-50% of the minor components such as lubricant, e.g., fatty acid of lanolin, when necessary, auxiliary components such as humectant, preserve, pH- adjuster and purified water. When the resultant hair rinse is applied to hair, the sliminess characterized by cationic surfactant is eliminated, luster, dryness, slippage are given to hair and fragrance is scattered. |
