<p>A burner construction, igniter assembly therefor and methods of making the same are provided, the igniter assembly (59) comprising an electrically insulating body member (100) having an intermediate portion (71) and having opposed end surfaces (72, 73), one of which is adapted to be disposed adjacent a cap (29) of a burner construction (20), and an electrically conductive L-shaped electrode (101) carried by the body member (100) and having two legs (102, 103), one of which extends out of the intermediate portion (71) thereof for sparking to the cap (29) and the other of which extends out of the other of the opposed end surfaces (72, 73) of the body member (100) for electrical connection purposes, the body member comprising a one-piece member, the two legs (102, 103) of the electrode (101) initially comprising two separate parts having adjacent ends (102', 103') that have now been secured together inside the body member (100).</p> |
