The tamper proof anchor bolt assembly (10) includes a frangible nut assembly (22) and a tamper resistant skirt (24) attached to one end of an expandable anchor bolt device (16, 26). An expandable anchoring means (38, 40) attached to the other end of the anchoring device (16, 26) expands to create a secure connection between the anchor bolt (16) and a supporting structure (14) in response to the application of torque to the frangible nut assembly (22). The frangible nut assembly (22) includes a frangible connection (36) which ruptures at a predetermined torque corresponding to the secure connection. The tamper resistant skirt (24) is rotatably positioned around the entire periphery of the remaining frangible nut assembly to prevent a tool from upsetting the secure connection by applying a gripping force to the anchor bolt device (16, 26). |
