<p>A multipurpose apparatus to prepare a road surface is disclosed. The apparatus includes a scoop (20) which cuts, profiles and collects material. A conveyor (92; 70, 76) connected to the scoop (20) transports the material from the scoop to a rock crusher (68). The rock crusher (68) reduces the size of the rock and deposits the crushed rock back on the road bed. An articulated bucket assembly (34) is mounted on the apparatus to excavate overburden and to deposit the overburden into the scoop (20).</p> |
