The method for producing modified asphalts and bituminous cements, consisting in that a partially oxidized vacuum residue of oil distillation, or asphalt or bituminous cement is mixed and heated with dienophiles, preferably with unsaturated acids or their mono- and or di-substituted anhydrides, including from C4-C14 carbon atoms in the quantity of 0.2-15 per cent by weight at temperature of 50 - 300 degrees C.
