The invention relates to the use of 2-(3-substituted phenylhydrazino)-2-thiazolines and 2-(3-substituted phenylazo)-2-thiazolines of the general formula (I) <IMAGE> in which Y represents -NH-NH- or -N=N- and R<1> represents Cl or alkyl which is substituted by halogen and R<2> represents one or more identical or different radicals from the group comprising hydrogen, halogen, haloalkyl, alkoxy, haloalkoxy, alkylthio, haloalkylthio, alkylsulphinyl, haloalkylsulphinyl, for controlling ectoparasites, and to novel thiazolines and to their preparation. |
