An instrument carrier (1) for motor vehicles is proposed which is designed for the optional accommodation of a tachograph with a cylindrical or a cuboid housing, the width of the cuboid tachograph being greater than the installation diameter of the cylindrical tachograph (6). In particular a mount (11) with the dimensions of the cuboid tachograph is formed on the instrument carrier (1). A holder (37) which can be inserted into the mount (11) has an aperture (41) corresponding to the installation diameter of the cylindrical tachograph (6) and can be fixed in the mount (11) in the same way as an inserted cuboid tachograph. A surround (43) assigned to the holder (37) masks off that area of the mount (11) not covered by the cylindrical tachograph (6) from the outside. <IMAGE> |
